Here's What's Up!

First of all, let me express my deepest gratitude to everybody who has called, written, sent flowers and gifts, helped with the kids, brought us dinner, and especially kept us in your hearts and prayers through this crazy time. Our family has been overwhelmed by the heartfelt love we have felt from so many of our family, friends and neighbors. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by so many incredible people!

I wanted to create a blog to help keep people up-to-date on everything that's happening as I go forward with my treatment for breast cancer. Thanks to my awesome sister-in-law Emily for putting it all together for me!! Hopefully this will be a good way to keep everyone informed and maybe keep us from having to talk on the phone so much!

As some of you know, Emmot has been in the hospital with pneumonia and RSV. He's finally beginning to feel better and will hopefully come home tomorrow. I'll post some great pictures of Emmot in his teeny tiny hospital gown in the next day or so...who knew they made 'em so small!

The next order of business as I head into my chemo treatments is to keep our family (especially me) healthy. We're trying to limit too much exposure to germs, so even though we love ya all, we might not be up for inviting lots of people into the house or sending our kids to homes where there's been a recent sickness. We'll all give a huge sigh of relief when the cold season is over and we can relax a little bit more!

If you are wondering if there's anything you can do to help, please feel free to leave comments on this blog and we'll let you know what you can do.

Thanks again for all your support and love. Your prayers and words of encouragement are what will get us through these crazy times!

Love to all,
Katie
